On November 4th 2018 Sanggar Mirah BSD had their first end-of-season performance at AEON Mall BSD city. For the majority of the girls it was their very first performance and imaginable it was a very exciting time for the girls (and the moms đ). At 10 am everybody gathered at the stage to do âblockingâ so everyone will know where their position will be during the performance. Then we went to the dressing room and it took us exactly 3 hours to finish all the girlsâ make-up and costumes. After we went to the stage and it was already full of people. At the same time there was a national costume contest for TK and SD kids from BSD, and during the break it was our time to perform! The girls performed a 15 min medley of 3 dances. The first group performed Tari Pendet, a classic welcoming dance to open the show. The girls in this group are between the age of 6-9 years old. Then the second group performed Tari Kembang Girang, a more modern Balinese creation about young girls being in their bloom of their lives. Then the last, maybe the one that was most looked forward to, Tari Janger, a dance and singing performance by the smallest one of Sanggar Mirah BSD. Aged from 3 (!!) till 6 years old, they all excitingly stepped on stage and show their best head and movements, while singing and smiling brightly bringing joy and laughs to the audience.
Even though beforehand there were some signs of nervousness, it wasnât visible at all on stage as they were all smiles and some even complained that it was over too quickly! A great success and excellent job girls! We are all very proud of you and hopefully in the future Sanggar Mirah BSD can stand on a big stage again! Thank you very much Aeon Mall BSD city for this wonderful opportunity and hopefully next year again!
